Our Eco Flag

September 24, 2007

This is our school’s eco group and our  green flag! You get a green flag when your school is really

eco friendly.  We recycle paper, cans, plastic bottles, ink cartridges, stamps, mobile phones and at

christmas we recycle christmas cards!
Also we have made our playground more eco friendly by creating a wild life garden, getting plant
pots and planting trees. In the flower beds we have planted lots of new flowers and trees. We have
got insect houses, bird houses and frog and toad houses to attract wildlife.
Keeping our playground tidy, we have help from primary three. They are called ‘The Litter
Pickers.’ To let everybody see it we’ve now got it flying on our flagpole at our front entrance.
Let us know if you liked what we have done with our school so far.

The Hidden Treasure

September 13, 2007

Today, some of us are entering a writing competition, where we had to describe in 50 words a hiding place for a precious treasure titled” The Diamond of Drury Lane.”  It was difficult to condense it and still include the descriptions we needed. See what you think!

Kieran’s Hidden Treasure

Under the football pitch the treasure lay ,lasers in the mud guarding it with an a alarm. If the thief gets past the lasers, then they would have to make progress on the impossible eye and index finger scanner, on the side of the safe - but only when the team was away!

Laura’s Hidden Treasure

September 13, 2007

My treasure is hidden on a sandy beach, on the Lost Island. It is hidden under big black boulders covered in moss, noone can get in because there is a secret box, it gives you an electric shock if you try and break in. Noone ever dared to break in.
